Ken Cofield

Ken first learned about the gospel of Jesus Christ while in prison serving his fourth year of a life sentence. After his release on November 17, 2009, Ken informally aided newly released prisoners, helping them with their parole hearings, finding them jobs and helping them acclimate to the outside world. When he was given parole allowance to travel outside Duval County, Ken was also able to preach in the chapel services in prisons. In 2017, he prayed with and preached to 3,155 prisoners in many prisons, many of whom made a decision for Christ. At the time of his passing, Ken was doing prison ministry on weekends, as he had a full-time job. He gave them the Hope of Jesus Christ, even when they expected to stay in prison.

Colossians 1:13, 14

"For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves."
